So with the 3 revealed professions. What type of characters are looking forward to most with the information available?

I am looking at the Sylvari Ranger, however my Ranger could end up Norn or Human.
My Ranger will probably be my main.
Maybe a Asuran Elementalist in remembrance of Vekk :P Though my elementalist may be norn.
Human Necro, a must.
And a Charr Warrior.

Ok so they haven't "Officially" announced Necro but if you read the first chapter of the new Ghosts of Ascalon book, it pretty much confirms their existence :P

Any idea yet, as to how many characters a person will be allowed to create. Aion let you create 1 toon for each job, will GW2 be the same way?

For a main, I'm not sure, I've usually picked the mage jobs for a character, but I leveled a paladin tank back in FFXI and I'm enjoying the templar I've working up for my Devonian set. With the new dynamics of GW2, I'd have to see how they all worked. Either way, if we all are still together, I could take a job to even out a group need for a balanced party.

There is no information as to the number of initial character slots yet.
In the latest post about level progression there was a subtle hint at a WoW style cap, you can make as many toons as you want.
Also they mentioned that the level cap will be 80 and the EXP Required will not scale to retarded proportions like in many other MMOs

Other than that, thats all I've got for you man.
If you play an Elementalist that will be awesome. Unlike traditional MMOs there really isnt a "Balance" we will need to maintain. There are no Healers, so that will be interesting to see how everything works. From my understanding, a group of 10 Rangers can go do something and be perfectly fine doing it. Unlike Aion, if you had a full group of Rangers the DMG would take its toll soon enough.

I was thinking about how each jobs skills will "mix" with each other, like arrows going through a flaming wall and such.

The elementalist is no doubt going to be immensely versatile. I will definitely have one!

Anyway, yesterday we picked up the Ghosts of Ascalon book, reading 60 something pages seems to have confirmed Necromancer and a Rogue of some sorts. I'm going to say the rumor of Thief class being confirmed as he has a long list of people he has robbed, scammed, and you known, done theify/rogue-like things too :P
